Welcome to Research in Nursing Skills (RiNS)

Research in Nursing Skills (RiNS) was established in 2006, based on Scandinavian collaboration between nurses in practice, education, and research. The founding members are affiliated with universities, university colleges and university hospitals in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

The aim of the RiNS collaboration is to develop a comprehensive understanding of practical nursing skills, and how these skills are taught, learned and sustained. By means of systematic research and developmental projects we propose to gain insight and develop new knowledge that is essential in strengthening the performance of practical nursing skills. This will contribute to the delivery of high professional competence, to patients and clients that need nursing.
